Description
This is a comprehensive training that will prepare yoga teachers to
provide a safe and nurturing environment for the pregnant woman. After
completion of this training the Participant will understand the basic
anatomical, physiological and emotional changes that occur in pregnancy
and how to address each of these changes through asana, pranayama,
relaxation techniques, chakra work, meditation and restorative yoga.
The Participant will learn methods to help women apply these concepts
learned in prenatal yoga to the process of labor and giving birth.
Also included in this training will be a basic overview of labor and
delivery with an exploration of fears related to this process. Participants
will be asked to explore their own feelings related to pregnancy and
birth as well as the fears and concerns associated with conducting
a prenatal yoga class.
