This four week session will introduce you to the fundamentals of hoop dance. We will 
explore a wide range of movements, techniques, combinations and variations. We will also discuss injury prevention and philosophical approaches to the hoop movement.
Hooping nurtures the relationship with your body, rhythm and the sacred circle while opening a portal for bliss & better health. Hooping is a fun way to tone muscles; cultivate joy; build endurance; rediscover and preserve youth; meditate through an entrancing spiraling movement; express your creativity; and experience grace.
This practice combines elements of yoga, whirling dervish, rhythmic gymnastics, circus art and childhood memory. It IS possible to hoop!
Julia Hartsell has been crafting hoops, teaching and performing her hoop dance for the past 7 years.
She teaches locally, regionally and nationally.
