Lauren Sacks started practicing yoga four years ago when she got fed up with the elliptical machine at the local gym. She discovered the fantastic (and feel-good!) physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga and has been a devotee ever since.
She completed her interdisciplinary yoga teacher training at Kalani Oceanside Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii during the spring and summer of 2002-a great place to practice and absorb yoga and all it has to offer!
Back on the mainland, she tries to bring the light of Aloha into her practice through focus on the breath, balance, and mindfulness both on and off the mat. |
