PATH    I can remember doing yoga in some way since I was old enough to be aware of my body. I think, as children, we all practice yoga to a certain extent, and it’s just a matter of remembering it when we get too clouded with the worries of being ‘grown up’. I’ve been consciously practicing yoga since 2000. I knew it was right because it allowed me, for the very first time, to feel real, and complete (or at least on the road to being complete). Yoga has kept me grounded through most of my times of craziness, and whenever I have been in need, I just take it to the mat! I first dabbled in teaching yoga during my time as an undergrad at UNC. I led a number of ‘yoga and the actor’ workshops in the drama department. In August 2004, I traveled to Thailand for a 6 week intensive teacher training with Paul Dallaghan and other guest teachers at Yoga Thailand. Check it out at http://www.centeredyoga.com/

INSPIRATION:   Yoga and Love have always inspired me, along with watching the change and inspiration that yoga conjures within folks; that coupled with the hope that one day everything will make sense.

FAVORITES FOR GROUNDING:   Yoga, good rest, good fun, insightful conversation, and a quiet spot with a gallon of water and my own thoughts.

FAVORITES FOR KICKING IT:    Sitting with my favorite people over a cup of coffee, walking around, traveling, playing with my dog Edie, and being in love.

PRACTICE:    My own practice always changes according to what’s going on in the rest of my world, and sometimes things get so hectic, that I think it’s important to regularly attend other classes to keep yourself on your toes. Always keeping a delicate balance, careful not to push yourself too hard or to get too comfortable in your own routine.

INTENTION: Mainly, I just want everyone to feel comfortable and to have a great time exploring and listening to their bodies.
