INSPIRATION
We have an incredible wealth of wonderful, loving yoga teachers in this area. I am in awe of Lisa Clark and David Beatle and will be forever grateful for their loving kindness in yoga teacher training.
And to Sean Corn for bringing God, love, and peace into yoga class. Teachers who have influenced my yoga practices (personal and teaching) are Erich Schiffmann, Donna Farhi, Deepak Chopra and of course B.K.S.Iyengar.Reading! I read just about every day. I especially enjoy yoga writings and themes of spirituality. For me, yoga is in great part about the love in our heart center. Living life with joy and passion are the key - it all comes down to the heart and to love. This is my inspiration.

PATH
In the lively crossroads of international cultures here in the Triangle, I have found much inspiration - from wholesome nutrition to
natural healing to meditation and spirituality to fitness. I first took yoga classes along with aerobics and weight-lifting simply as a form of exercise. But as many discover, a little yoga often just makes you want more, and in 2000 I started practicing more
seriously and attending many classes a week. During that time, something happened deep in my mind and heart, and I realized yoga was becoming much more than just exercise and stretching. An unexpected and powerful spiritual awakening was taking place. As this awakening grew, it became clear that I wanted to teach and share this gift that I had been given. When I started my teacher training, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I had come home.

I completed a 220 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training in 2006. The loving and wonderful teachers at Mind Body Spirit yoga teacher training helped me discover there is so much more in yoga including and beyond poses and physicality. There is connection of the mind, body, and spirit! and a feeling of being loved and accepted for who and where you are.

Sean Corn an inspiration to me, boldly and courageously spoke about God’s love, acceptance, and peace. This enlightenment inspired me to bring my spirituality and self into class. After all, spiritual beliefs, whatever they are, are an integral part of our whole selves.

INTENTION
I provide a gentle introduction to yoga poses and practice that is
ideal both for beginners and for those who want a program centered on
relaxation. This combination class begins with easy stretches that
warm up the body, and then moves into poses that create deep
relaxation. I incorporate support props to help students relax and
release into various poses.

I encourage bringing intentional awareness, be it spiritual,
emotional, or physical, to yoga practice. Much of the joy of yoga is
discovering how mind, body, and spirit play together. When we
are mindful as we enter the zone before our limits, we can find comfort
and peace there in the stillness before the edge.

I truly love yoga and want to share that whole-hearted love and
enthusiasm with others. I strive to convey the same sense of
self-acceptance, wholeness, love, and peace
that I have experienced.
I work to provide a space where others can begin to find or enhance
their own connection to spirit. This sounds like a tall order, but
it is nothing short of what I have found on the mat.

FAVORITES FOR GROUNDING
Gardening, meditation, remembering to breathe, and of course yoga. I
love to nap on the couch with my little soft fluffy poodles covering
me. I also find grounding in taking long walks with my dogs or
training them; they love to learn and are eager to do their tricks.
I often find myself making some new yard art or doing a new project
around the house.
