Path: I can remember being 10 years old and discovering a great mystery in the depths if my being. From that realization spawned a desire to devote my life to delving into the universal play via experiential transformation. At age 13 my parents started taking me to concerts where I found myself moving into states of bliss through the power of vibration, sound, dance, and love. Then, finally at age 20, the path took another turn and I experienced my first Yoga class as well as began a daily sitting practice. I started attending Yoga philosophy classes, doing Karma Yoga, chanting, and practicing asana on a regular basis. It has been 8 full years since then. Over the past 7 years I have studied under many of the countries greatest Iyengar and Anusara teachers. I Honor them all for their immense wisdom and desire to help others. The past three years of my life has been spent in India, Tibet, and Nepal, studying and practicing paths of freedom. The focus of my first year in Asia was Tibetan Buddhism, a path of great compassion and brilliant wisdom. However, my last two years in India, were more internalized, participating in numerous silent retreats with a group called Open Dharma. Spending hours upon hours in meditation has taken me into deep places of peace, rest, love, and healing. I have decide to stop traveling for now and grow some roots in this area. While here I will continue to deepen my own practice under the guidance of my yoga teachers Sommer and Paul Sobin. Additionally, I hope to offer my own received shakti and light to others by teaching yoga. Last but not least, I am in the process of trying to raise 1.1 million dollars to build a meditation centre in Spain for Open Dharma. Please check out www.opencentre.org and www.opendharma.org for more information regarding this endeavor. If you have any ideas or just want to hear more about this project please contact me at purepurity1@gmail.com .

Inspiration: Healing myself and others so we may all realize our true nature of bliss and love. This life is a gift in which we are given the opportunity to align with the divine. This is the fuel of my fire for personal transformation and helping others to aspire to their highest good.

Favorites for grounding: Jin shin Jitsu, an ancient Japanese healing art. Resting. I believe that meditation and resting should look like identical twins. I find that deep states of rest bring me back to my centre. Yoga of course. Sculpture and pottery. Developing photos in the dark room. Walks in the woods and being near bodies of water also act as a similar panacea...and I love to cook for others as well!!!

Favorites for Kicking it
: Dancing...I love to dance, especially African and Afro Brazilian. Spending time with friends and family inspiring one another, practicing yoga with friends, listening to music and singing...

Practice: My daily practice consists of being in tune with whatever I feel is in my highest good at the time. Sometimes that is 20 minutes of Asana and 2-3 hours of meditation, while other days it is just the opposite. I practice and teach a form of Yoga know as Anusara, which is rooted in Tanrtic philosophy, and emphasises principles of alignment and, as the Buddha once said, "The sure release of the Heart". I am mindful of my breath, body, energy, and heart during each practice. To me Yoga practice is just as much about discovering where healing is most needed on an emotional and spiritual level, as it is about strengthening the health of the physical body. I enjoy a physically challenging practice that incorporates periods of stillness and reflection.

Inspiration: I hope to help others discover their own individual paths to freedom and love. I also wish to aid and empower others in healing their own bodies, minds, and spirits. I feel as though the practice of Yoga and meditation, light and love reveals itself as our most intimate truth. May all beings be free from suffering and rest in the sweet space of the heart.
