Flow
Yoga A bright, fun, and upbeat class taught using principles from
the Jivamukti, Sivananda, and Ashtanga
methods of Yoga. A challenging class with gentle guidance that incorporates
Yoga philosophy, alignment instruction, hands-on assists, and meditation/centering
techniques. Moment to moment awareness is encouraged; and developing
an environment of safety and acceptance is also cultivated.
This class will help students develop balance, strength, and flexibility
of body and mind.
Each class is different, but every class draws attention to the breath
and the inner observer. By watching the way the mind works; observing
the thoughts and sensations that arise by doing the physical postures;
we come to recognize our own patterns and realize how to better connect
to our own organic flow off the mat in our every day lives. We will
learn and practice balance poses, inversions, backbends, and a variety
of variations. Intended for students familiar with Yoga but open to
all.
