We are about 25 minutes away from the Raleigh-Durham airport (code: RDU). If you're traveling for a workshop, you'll find Chapel Hill/Carrboro to be a lovely place. Here are some suggestions. LodgingView Larger Map The map above points you to the major hotels. Three nice hotels serve campus and town: the Franklin, the Carolina Inn, and the Siena. Aloft, a W hotel, is still quite new and a little cheaper. Then there is the usual range of chains. HospitalityView Larger Map Our studio is located directly over Panzanella, a fantastic restaurant run by Weaver Street Market, the co-op in the next building. Both are fine options for lunch and dinner and have a range of vegetarian and vegan meals. In a block's walk, you'll find Neal's Deli for great sandwiches, and Glass Halfull for tapas and dinner. Also within a very short walk, you'll find four gastropubs: Tyler's, Spotted Dog (lots of vegetarian options), Southern Rail, and Milltown, as well as the bistro Acme. Venturing further afield will get you to the legendary Chapel Hill restaurants Crook's Corner (southern) and Mama Dip's (very southern), Elaine's (new southern), and Lantern (southern Asia and eastern Asia). Carrboro's Gourmet Kingdom serves SPICY Sichuan cooking off its Chinese menu, and Carrburritos always satisfy. We're happy to talk you through options! |
